Weekend adventurers can go Budget Roadtrippin' and win!
South Africa is a country of diverse attractions. There are wide open spaces, popular destinations and best-kept secrets. The most effective way to explore these is through that most glorious explorer’s tradition – the weekend road trip.
To celebrate South Africa, and the joy of exploring it, Budget Rent a Car is launching Budget Roadtrippin, a two-month competition geared to getting South Africans out on the roads exploring our country, and capturing the moments that make SA road trips unique.
The competition runs through April and May, and is divided into themed, two-week segments, each celebrating a different aspect of our country – something, some place perfect for exploring on a great weekend road trip.
The themes are:
- Hidden Cafes
- Historical Architecture
- Wide-open spaces
- Best burger
For each two-week theme, the most fun, creative and inspiring image will win a Canon SX540 HS Powershot camera. At the end of the two months, a Grand Prize of a R10 000 Adventure Voucher goes to the best photo submitted during the competition.
“Budget encourages adventurers across the country to get out their cameras and phones for a road trip of a life time,” says Budget Rent a Car CEO Rainer Gottschick. “We can’t wait to see what they come up with – and there are some awesome prizes to be won.
Go Budget Roadtrippin’ to that classic café just out of town; find a fresh perspective on an iconic monument; head out into nature and express the beauty of the untamed wilderness; or smash a monster burger at that roadside biker bar you’ve always meant to visit.
Even better, assemble a squad of like-minded allies, rent a vehicle from Budget Rent a Car and turn a weekend into a Great Weekend with a couple of days of fun photography and Budget Roadtrippin’.
To enter, post and share the most creative, inspiring imagery from your Budget roadtrip, based on the theme at the time, with the hashtag #GreatWeekendSA.
Show how amazing South Africa is. Make every weekend a #GreatWeekendSA with Budget Roadtrippin’.
