Budget Rent a Car chases a good cause

Budget Rent a Car is delighted to once again be the official car rental sponsor of the South African leg of the Wings for Life World Run, set to take place in Pretoria on 6 May 2018. The race starts at the same time all over the world – 11am GMT. 

100% of entry fees and donations raised through fundraising campaigns go directly to life-changing spinal cord research projects, clinical trials at renowned universities and institutes worldwide.

Whether it’s day or night at race time, at any of the venues, nothing will put the brakes on this race. The Wings for Life World Run has a unique format where runners set their own goals. As a Wings for Life runner, instead of charging off towards a distant finish line, the finish line catches up with you. Half an hour after the race starts, a “Catcher Car,” sets off to chase down runners along the course, gradually accelerating until every runner has been caught.

It’s a shared experience that will leave runners inspired and enthusiastic for next year’s race – and fulfilled to have made a difference in helping the less fortunate.
